Safe plastic products

Plastic products from BabyBjörn are completely free from bisphenol A (BPA). In recent years, the risks associated with plastic products containing BPA have been highlighted by a number of health organisations (amongst them, the US federal agency the National Institutes of Health).

BPA is an industrial chemical compound primarily used in the production of polycarbonate plastic. Polycarbonate plastic is not used in any of BabyBjörn’s products.

Our kitchen and bathroom products are completely free from PVC (polyvinyl chloride), phthalate esters, cadmium, lead, bromine and chlorine. Our kitchen assortment is, in addition, food approved and fulfils the safety standards for plastics both in Europe (EEC) and in the USA (FDA).

At BabyBjörn we want you to know that you’ve chosen both a functional and safe product. We’re starting to mark all our plastic products ”BPA-free” to ensure that you feel confident in your choice.
