GOTS

The fabrics used in BabyBjörn’s organic line are certified in accordance with GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), the most widely recognised international standard for the manufacture of organic textiles. 

The GOTS label ensures that the fabrics meet certain environmental requirements during the production process. These requirements regulate everything from cultivation, harvesting, production, processing, manufacturing, packaging and labelling. 

- The textiles must comprise at least 95% organically grown cotton.  
- Toxic heavy metals, formaldehyde and genetically modified fibres may not be used in the manufacturing process. 
- No chemical pesticides are allowed. 
- Chlorine bleaching is prohibited.
