Keep in mind:
Check the UV index daily for your area. If the UV index is 3 or higher, you and your child should stay in the shade. Avoid exposure to the sun completely between 10 am – 3 pm.

Do remember that the sun’s rays reach areas in the shade and radiation can be high even on an overcast day.

When you are in the sun, keep an eye on your child and make certain that he or she is not too hot. Make sure your child’s entire body is protected, including hands and feet.
